Mirecki Moans

Check out this post at Michelle Malkin's blog regarding one Professor Paul Mirecki.

Paul Mirecki is a University of Kansas professor that was planning to teach a class deriding the idea of "intelligent design." Or, as Mirecki himself put it,

“The fundies want it [intelligent design] all taught in a science class, but this will be a nice slap in their big fat face by teaching it as a religious studies class under the category ‘mythology.’ ” Mirecki said he was “doing my part” to upset “the religious right” and signed his posting “Evil Dr. P.”

Well, it seems that it was Professor Mirecki that received a few slaps in the face and a bit more from two alleged assailants this past Monday.

But the local sheriff's department is investigating his claims carefully, and Mirecki has already lawyered up to file suit if he chooses. There is bound to be more strangeness to come as this case, ahem, evolves. Stay tuned.
